Well Fed Motherhood
"If I want to be a present, playful, joyful mother, I need to be a well fed mother"
"If I want to be present, playful mother, I need to be a well fed mother."
The Well Fed Mother is a gentle journey supporting nourishment of your brain, body and nervous system, designed to fit into busy motherhood so you can feel more resourced, more steady and less like you are just getting through the days.

You don't need to fix yourself, you need to feed yourself
Motherhood can feel like running on empty, while still being needed all day. You might be eating, but never quite feeling fed, grabbing things in between caring for everyone else or standing in the kitchen not knowing what to make, or what you even want. You might be snapping more quickly than you’d like, then feeling the guilt afterwards, crashing in the afternoon, reaching for something quick just to get through or feeling wired and tired by the evening, still thinking about food.
None of this is a lack of willpower, it is often a body and nervous system that have not been consistently nourished, and when you are underfed, everything feels harder. Your patience, your mood, your capacity, your ability to cope.
The Well Fed Mother is a gentle, structured way to come back to yourself through nourishment, in a gentle way that actually fits into everyday life, because Dietitian Rachel is not just a Dietitian specialising in disordered eating, women's health and nervous system nourishment, but she is a mother of four children too.

Why being well fed matters
When you are not well fed, it does not just affect your body, it can look like:
-
feeling more overwhelmed by small things
-
less patience with your children, even when you deeply care
-
more food noise, more grazing, more evening eating
-
low mood, irritability or emotional swings
-
struggling to make decisions around food
-
feeling disconnected from your body
This is not a personal failure or character flaw, it is often a physiological and nervous system response to not getting enough consistent nourishment. Being well fed supports your brain, your nervous system and your emotional capacity just as much as it supports your physical health,
and that changes how your days feel. You don’t have to wait until things fall apart to deserve support, you don’t have to earn nourishment

You cannot regulate your nervous system when you are not fed.

Well Fed Motherhood is here to support you to feel more present, more steady and more regulated.
You might begin to notice:
-
more stable energy across the day
-
fewer intense cravings or evening urges to eat
-
decreased anxiety and mood changes
-
feeling clearer on what to eat without overthinking
-
more patience and space between feeling and reacting
-
a quieter mind around food
-
less feeling touched out
-
feeling more present in your body and with your children
-
greater capacity for hobbies, friendships and self care

This has been built not just from clinical knowledge and supporting hundreds of women, but from lived experience of motherhood, where time, energy and capacity can feel very limited.
