Well Fed Motherhood
"If I want to be a present, playful, joyful mother, I need to be a well fed mother"
"If I want to be present, playful joyful mother, I need to be a well fed mother."
The Well Fed Mother is a gentle six week journey supporting nourishment of your brain, body and nervous system, designed to fit into real, busy motherhood so you can feel more resourced, more playful, and less like you are just getting through the days.

You don't need to fix yourself, you need to feed yourself
The Well Fed Mother is a gentle, written programme designed to support you to rebuild your energy, regulation and self trust through nutrition, neuroscience and compassion. It is not just a plan to follow, it is a journey of remembering that nourishment is safety, and safety is what allows you to thrive.
Over six weeks you will travel a gentle journey through the science and soul of nourishment. You will learn how nourishment shapes your brain, hormones and nervous system. This programme is designed to fit around real motherhood, with no pressure to keep up, no live sessions and no expectation to do everything. Each week you will receive gentle, thoughtful nourishment letters straight to your inbox that you can return to in your own time. You are invited to send in questions throughout the six weeks, which will be answered through general guidance, so you feel supported without being singled out or overwhelmed. Everything is approached through a neuronutrition lens, supporting the brain, body and nervous system, all designed to help you rebuild energy, safety, playfulness, joy and create sustainable rhythms of care that genuinely fit your real mum life.
For those who would like deeper support, there is also the opportunity to work 1:1 with Dietitian Rachel alongside the programme, through weekly email coaching offering a compassionate space to personalise the work and integrate it gently at your own pace.

-
You are looking for a weight loss programme or body transformation
-
You want strict rules, rigid meal plans or calorie targets
-
You are hoping to be told exactly what to eat without flexibility
-
You are not open to a compassionate, nervous system informed approach
-
You are seeking urgent or intensive eating disorder treatment rather than gentle support
-
You are not in a place to reflect on how stress, trauma, or motherhood impacts eating
-
You are expecting fast results without space for gradual change
-
You want performance, optimisation or discipline based nutrition
This programme is not about fixing your body, controlling food or doing things perfectly. It is about steadiness, adequacy and nourishment that fits real life.
If you are unsure, you are welcome to ask questions before joining.

Well Fed Motherhood is rooted in the understanding that nourishment is not just about food on a plate, it is about how a mother feels in her body and nervous system. When a mother is well fed, that nourishment does not stop with her. It flows into the way she responds, plays, regulates and connects with her children. A fed nervous system has more space for patience, warmth and curiosity. Children feel this safety and learn that care is something we offer ourselves as well as others.
Feeding yourself is not separate from caring for your children, it is one of the ways it reaches them.

A note from Dietitian Rachel ...
I’m a Clinical and Counselling Dietitian and a mother of four. My oldest is almost 18, and my youngest, Walter, was born at the end of 2025. Between those two glorious humans are Atticus, who just turned four and Luna, who is two.
Like so many mothers, my own experience of motherhood changed profoundly when I began to understand what it meant to be well fed. When I first became a mother, I was depleted, anxious and undernourished. I wanted so much to be calm, patient, playful and joyful but I was constantly running on empty. I used to carry so much shame about that, about both, what it took from my son, and what it took from me.
Fourteen years later, I entered motherhood again, but this time I was fed, grounded and kind to myself. I wasn’t counting calories or chasing thinness. I wasn’t running on caffeine and guilt, and motherhood felt completely different, still demanding and still emotional but also deeply joyful, connected and full of moments I could be truly present for.
That’s the heart of The Well Fed Mother programme, because it’s not just their childhood, it’s our motherhood too; and we deserve to be present in it.
Being a Well Fed Mother won’t take away the sleepless nights or the identity shifts that come with raising children; but it will help you feel more resilient, more resourced and more capable. It allows you to meet motherhood from a nourished place, one where your body feels safe, your mood feels steadier and you finally have the energy to show up as yourself again.I am honoured and excited to be supporting you on this path.
